- The Rhode Island Scottish Highland Festival
- The tradition of the Highland games comes alive at the Westerly High School Athletic Field. Activities include piping, dancing, and athletic competitions. This year, traditional amateur Scottish athletic competitions have been added to our program. You will see caber toss, the 56 pound weight thrown for height, the Scottish hammer and other athletic events. In addition, you may research your ancestry at over 39 different clan tents and societies. Scottish food is also offered, including fish & chips, meat pies, bridies, & shortbread; and Scottish vendors bring a wide variety of merchandise from Scotland. A variety of Scottish Entertainers are also scheduled throughout the day.
